2026 – January Update

(from WP mailbox:)

WK: I do appreciated your work. My wife and son spent 2 years in Ethiopia professing our Faith in Christ and we certainly understand the great need in this world for God’s Word. I would like to ask you a kindness please. I am 53 and recently had a serious of 3 strokes.  Typing and fine motor skills is very difficult and I am having to use aids such as dictation to record emails etc. I do so miss the ease with which I could turn the pages or navigate through your audio Bible on my phone. I wonder if or might be possible please to have your Audio RS600 version?.

WP: Thank you for writing. We would be more than happy to send you a sr600 audio player for free. However, we have encountered a problem with the expedition. The post office and couriers have refused to accept the device because it has a battery in it. Until we solve this I am afraid we cannot be much of a help along that line. Praying for you and your family. WP

WK:Thank you for your answer, May the battery be removed and I buy a battery up here and install?

WP: Send your address so we can send to you.  Bless.

The SR600 (see image) is ready to go.

Sending the SR600 via post or courier has been a problem in recent years. Unfortunately the devicee does not work without the battery. Once the battery is out, connecting it to the main current with the transformer, won’t work . That could be a design problem but that is the way it is. We pray we could fix this in future versions. This is something to pray for.

We do have the Apps, and they are great as Bible players to. One user wrote in the app reviews:

Great app! Once you download the Scriptures in the language you want, you can read everything without the internet. You can even have two languages at once for study. [MA]

Other comments this month were:

  • This app for listening to the Bible is very good. DD
  • I have to open this Bible every day to listen to the scriptures. I really love the way that gentle man reads the scriptures. AJ
  • Simply a 1000/10! Very easy to use and with top-notch narration. GOD BLESS THE WHOLE TEAM. SC

So, we have a lot to be thankful for. Special thanks to those who are updating our Apps for Android and IOS.

And here is an AI summary of WP email communications with a new friend from India: (notice AI reads our emails – but it does not answer the questions…)

AI: Kaushal initially reached out expressing doubts after stepping away from his assembly and prayer meetings. Kaushal requested a phone call, but J. S. stated that no phone number is available and asked him to write his questions. Kaushal detailed his doubts regarding God’s purpose for creation and the lack of explicit mention of Jesus in the Old Testament.

JS answered Kaushal in this manner:

“Thank you for writing . Your doubts are very common among Christians. Many people asks the same questions as you. Why God created us? Romans 9:20-21 – “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?  Hath not the potter power over the clay,”
My personal opinion is that God created us so we can praise Him. Worship Him. Love Him.
Jesus in the old Testament: There are many prophecies in the old testament, including a description of Jesus in Isaiah 53. . As for the name to be mentioned in the Old Testament, some people say that Yeshua, Yahweh, referred to Jesus . Personally, i believe that Jesus is both God and Man. As a man He was given the name Jesus, by the angel Gabriel, sent by God. As God, or the second person of the Trinity, He is also mentioned as The Word. John 1:1 – in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So, Jesus is revealed in the New Testament. [ John 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.] Whether there is reference in the Old Testament to the name Jesus or any other name, in my opinion, should not be important. Because the Old Testament announces the coming of the Messiah, and he came. Praise God. Blessings. Praying for you.

On another topic:

LOVE

‘We can give without love, but we cannot love without giving’.

This is better explained in I Corinthians 13:

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing.'
