Recently I heard an Oxford professor giving an explanation on how Christianity is actually not a religion. He explained that in a religion you work for your salvation. In a religion a person works to get merits, and at the end of the course God will decide if that person makes the grade. Like in a University course, the graduation depends on the merits, and comes at the end of the course. The professor goes on explaining that in true Christianity the graduation, the acceptance, comes at the beginning, A person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, repents from their sins and that is the beginning of a new life. When a person acknowledges and accepts the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins, the change of heart and spirit, will result in good deeds and merits.
John, or Saint John, the Apostle, explains this simple truth very well in the 5th Chapter of the Book of 1 John: ‘And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. ‘ (verse 11 and 12)

‘We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. (verse 18)

hello, i've been reading the bible in hebrew, as it is one of the 3 languages i know, when on the new testament in hebrew, you'll have the name of the page or so having the name of jesus translated to hebrew as ''ישו'' which is ''yeshu'' which is not his name, please fix the translation to make it accurate to ''yeshua'' which is typed as ''ישוע"' or "יהושע'' , hebrew speakers usually use the word ''ישו'' as a form of cursing him or changing his identity and misleading people, so his name is not "salvation". I finally found how to have english, pinyin and character together through the mobile webpage.

Is it allowed to pulls from wordproject audio and textual sources ? I consider to build my own bible reader and audio player app to integrate the certain feature that could support my learning. T

El audio en español proviene de la mejor versión o traducción de la Biblia en español es decir la Reina Valera 1909. No sé de qué año data esa grabación pero se ve claramente que no es una ia. Quisiera felicitar al equipo que grabó hace muchos años especialmente a la voz del narrador que me parece muy apropiada, y que además comete muy pocos errores o casi ninguno. Esto es muy importante en nuestros días porque casi todas las biblias que circulan en internet ya sea escrita o grabada adolecen de muchos errores tipográficos y de otro tipo.
